Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park +

You will be picked up from Arusha by your driver/guide and begin your safari to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park is centered around the Tarangire River, lined with acacia and ancient baobab trees, attracting large concentrations of wildlife—especially during the dry season when animals migrate from the Maasai Steppe in search of water. Tarangire is home to unique and endangered species such as the Greater Kudu, Fringe-Eared Oryx, and Ashy Starling. Enjoy your picnic lunch at a designated site overlooking the river, while keeping an eye out for the park’s ever-curious monkeys. Day 2: Karatu – Serengeti National Park +

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Serengeti National Park, enjoying a scenic game drive along the way. As you pass through the misty highland forests, you may spot buffalo, baboons, elephants, or leopards hidden in the dense vegetation. The drive to Serengeti takes approximately four hours. Optional stopovers (at an extra cost) include: Maasai Boma Visit Olduvai Gorge Upon entering Central Serengeti, enjoy a game drive across the vast plains, home to massive herds of wildebeest and zebra, giraffes, antelope, elephants, and top predators including lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Day 3: Full Day Serengeti National Park Game Drive +

Begin the day with an early morning sunrise game drive, when predators are most active. Watch the savannah come alive as lions and leopards hunt in the golden morning light. Optional: Take a sunrise hot air balloon safari followed by a champagne breakfast (available at an additional cost). After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. Your guide will tailor the route to maximize chances of seeing the Big Five and, seasonally, the Great Wildebeest Migration. After a full day in the wild, return to your lodge. Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area +

Enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before proceeding towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area via a different route, offering fresh wildlife encounters. Expect continued sightings of vast herds, elegant giraffes, elephants, and the region’s powerful predators—lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and jackals. Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha +

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, often described as the Eighth Wonder of the World. This vast caldera is home to over 120 species of mammals, including all members of the Big Five. Ngorongoro offers one of the best chances in Africa to see the endangered black rhinoceros, along with large populations of hippos, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, antelope, and a dense concentration of predators. After the crater tour, drive back to Arusha for your onward journey or flight.
